Experience Exchange – Connecting Healthcare Experts Worldwide

As part of MEDICA 2025 (17–20 November), DCG-Health GmbH, together with the Gesellschaft Deutscher Krankenhaustag (GDK), organised specialist conferences, excursions and networking formats centred on the 48th German Hospital Day. The conference aims to contribute to German-Chinese cooperation in healthcare and to deepen it further through direct exchange between hospital executives, medical professionals, industry and policymakers. The central item on the programme was the German-Chinese Hospital Day on 20.11.2025.

  • Promoting exchange on topics such as Chinese and international medicine, medical technologies and hospital management

    Arrival & Opening in Essen

    • Arrival of the delegations at Hotel Franz, Essen
    • Visit to a partner hospital: focus on clinical management and integrative care models
    • Evening reception at the Zollverein Colliery: festive close to the day with mulled wine and a visit to the Christmas market

Monday 17 November 2025

  1. Düsseldorf

    German Hospital Day at MEDICA Düsseldorf

    • Opening session with keynotes from Nina Warken (Federal Minister of Health) and Karl-Josef Laumann (Minister of Health of North Rhine-Westphalia), as well as other representatives from health policy and the healthcare industry
    • Key topics: hospital policy, digitalisation, financing, public health (interpreting into English/Chinese)
    • Reception and gala hosted by the Association of Senior Hospital Physicians, the Association of Hospital Directors in Germany, the German Hospital Federation and DCG-Health

    • Option 1: Tour of the trade fair with the MEDICA / German Hospital Day management
    • Option 2: Excursions to hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the region, including site visits and meetings with senior management (max. 25 participants)
